Casa de Cello is a family-run winery with a rich legacy of winemaking that spans four generations. Based in Portugal, it has evolved since the 1980s when João Pedro Araujo began modernizing the business by introducing the latest in wine production technologies while maintaining a deep respect for the land’s terroirs.
The estate includes two key vineyards: Quinta da Vegia in the Dão region, which spans 20 hectares and grows a range of grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Encruzado. The second, Quinta de Sanjoanne, located in the Entre-Douro and Minho region near Amarante, focuses on 14 hectares of grapes like Alvarinho, Arinto, and Loureiro. Both estates are known for producing wines that highlight the unique characteristics of their respective regions.
Casa de Cello also offers wine tourism, inviting visitors to explore the natural beauty and landscapes of their estates while enjoying the products of their careful winemaking.
