Château Salettes is one of the oldest estates in the Bandol AOC, with a rich history that dates back to 1604. Originally owned by a family of merchants from Marseille, the estate was once a salt storage facility, a highly valuable commodity in the Middle Ages. Over generations, the property passed through the hands of several families, including the Ricard de la Gaillardière, the Ricard family, and finally, the Boyer family, who continue to run the estate today.
The vineyard thrives on rocky soil, where the Mourvèdre grape, the king of Bandol, produces wines of exceptional quality. Since 2018, the estate has been certified organic (EcoCert), reflecting the family’s commitment to sustainable practices and respect for the environment.
The estate is now managed by Sabine Boyer and her son Nicolas, who continue the tradition of viticulture with a focus on precision and maintaining the natural integrity of their terroir. Their wines aim to reflect the purity and authenticity of the land.
Château Salettes also offers exclusive collaborations, such as the Passedat x Invader wine sets, which are a testament to the estate’s dedication to creating exceptional experiences for wine enthusiasts. Visitors can explore the estate, enjoy tastings, and even shop for exclusive wine offerings online.
