A winemaking family since 1748, Famille Quiot embodies thirteen generations of passion and expertise in the Southern Rhône Valley and Provence. Over the centuries, the family has built an outstanding collection of estates, notably in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, Vacqueyras and the Côtes de Provence.
All the Famille Quiot estates are managed according to the same principles, deeply rooted in the values of farming and winemaking. The family places the vineyard and the wine at the heart of every decision. Its approach is based on quality, winemaking expertise, respect for the environment and the preservation of its heritage. It also places great importance on social responsibility and on maintaining complete control over every stage of production, from the vine to the glass, while respecting the consumer. As the sole owner of its estates and vineyard land, Famille Quiot maintains complete economic and decision-making independence, without outside investors or external constraints.
The Famille Quiot logo depicts a vine stock supported by four figures. The vine symbolizes the family’s primary identity: that of winegrowers deeply connected to the land. It also represents wines of character, shaped by their terroir, history and culture. The four figures represent Geneviève and Jérôme Quiot, along with their children, Florence and Jean-Baptiste. Between 2003 and 2018, these four members of the family played a central role in the development and organization of the company. In the logo, the vine extends through the four human figures. This image illustrates the close relationship between people and the vineyard, between expertise passed down through generations and the gifts of nature. Each influences the other, forming a single, inseparable whole.
Despite the passing of Jérôme Quiot in 2018, this family spirit lives on and continues to guide the estates.
Today, Florence and Jean-Baptiste Quiot, representatives of the thirteenth generation, own the vineyards and are actively involved in their daily operations and development.
Jean-Baptiste, the eldest, has been a qualified viticultural and oenological engineer since October 2001. After completing his studies, he joined the family business and assumed responsibility for all the vineyards and winemaking cellars. Married and the father of two children, Alexandra, born in 2008, and Jérôme-Hadrien, born in 2015, his interests include reading, motorboating, skiing and astronomy.
Florence, five years his junior, holds a master’s degree in wine business. She joined the family company in 2003, the same year her daughter, Nolwenn, was born. Today, she oversees the company’s regulatory, administrative, commercial and legal activities. Her interests include beekeeping and the development of a wide variety of agricultural projects, particularly in remote regions.
From an early age, Florence and Jean-Baptiste took part in the daily life of the estates. During the harvest season, weekends were spent working in the cellars, while they also occasionally helped with packaging and administrative duties. This early involvement gave them a practical understanding of the profession and naturally prepared them to continue the family’s history.
