At that time, Joanny Paret, the founder of the winery located in Condrieu, wanted to develop the reputation of local wines in the cafés and bistros of the Rhône region by distributing them with the help of his horse-drawn cart. For several decades, the family business continued with the energy of Joseph Paret, Joanny’s son, who carried on the work his father had done for forty years. The wines of Paret then became the wines of Denuzière when Pierre Denuzière, Joseph Paret’s son-in-law, took over from his father-in-law in the 1940s. For 80 years, the name “Denuzière” has been part of the winemaking landscape in the Northern Rhône Valley. Today, the micro-cuvées of J. Denuzière are crafted around this Condrieu heritage, strengthened over the years. The oenologist, Caroline Moro, joined the estate in 2014. Meticulous and passionate, her methods in the cellar are artisanal: minimally interventionist, always in service of the current vintage, Caroline enjoys interpreting the power of Rhône wines, signing them with freshness and delicacy.
