Founded in 1970, Pacheco Pereda Winery is located in the heart of Barrancas, an exceptional winegrowing region in southern Mendoza, Argentina. This privileged terroir lies on an ancient bed of the Mendoza River, which once flowed through these lands. The stony alluvial soils provide ideal conditions for vine cultivation, producing wines of great concentration and remarkable aromatic intensity. The vineyards benefit from natural irrigation with pure water from the melting snow of the Andes — a key factor in the freshness and finesse of the wines.

Today, the winery is part of the Avinea Group, led by visionary businessman Alejandro Bulgheroni, who also owns Bodega Argento. Together, they form the largest organic winegrowing group in Argentina. Pacheco Pereda wines are now crafted at Bodega Argento by renowned winemaker Juan Pablo Murgia, named “Winemaker of the Year 2022” by the Descorchados guide. This union of terroir, tradition, and innovation gives rise to authentic, vibrant cuvées that embody the new generation of Argentina’s great wines.
